TreePeople’s Moonlight Hikes take night owls on a guided exploration of beautiful Coldwater Canyon Park and neighboring Wilacre Park—after hours! So grab a flashlight and join us to experience the beautiful Los Angeles evening skyline and walk under the light of the moon. We welcome hikers of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the outdoors with us in either a Coyote Crawl, Silver Bear Stroll, or Night Owl Prowl.

Devon invites you to embark on a meditative journey with her that consists of pure relaxation through a sound bowl healing meditation. Getting The Most from Culinary Herbs in Your Garden and in Your Kitchen
Growing culinary herbs is an easy way to bring flavorful, useful plants to your garden. Master Gardeners Julie Strnad and Lucia Burke will teach you the basics of how to grow organic herbs in containers (indoors/outdoors) or outside in your garden.

Happiness Class
Join us for an interactive wellness program that will include activities in the garden. This mental health workshop explores the idea of “Happiness” using the teachings of Harvard Professor Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar. Class leader Karen Sisman, a practitioner certified in the psychological and philosophical principles of Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar’s “Happiness” study, will speak about mental well-being as we learn to deal with the stresses of daily life. Our level of happiness strengthens our mental state of mind, ultimately allowing us to live better, work better and learn better. Sign up!
Tea, Scones & Gardens Book Club
For our next meeting, we’ll enjoy our reading of Hedge by Jane Delury, who herself will be present virtually. This novel’s main character Maud is an experienced garden historian, and the story involves poignant life-changing twists and turns. Please join us!
Yoga in The Garden
Join Nora Harris for outdoor yoga classes in one of the most beautiful places in Los Angeles County. We’ll connect for a rejuvenating hour at The Virginia Robinson Gardens in Beverly Hills.
Bring a yoga mat and some water and sprawl out beneath the swishing fronds of the palm forest. Listen to the tranquil sound of a nearby waterfall as you delight in the beauty and life surrounding you. Connect to your breath and body to feel sparkly and glowing from the inside out.

Public Star Party
Free public star parties are held monthly at Griffith Observatory from 2:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. with the assistance of volunteers from the Los Angeles Astronomical Society, the Los Angeles Sidewalk Astronomers, and The Planetary Society. They are a chance for the whole family to look at the Sun, Moon, visible planets, and other objects, to try out a variety of telescopes, and to talk to knowledgeable amateur astronomers about the sky and their equipment.

Desert Garden Renovation Project with John Trager
Join John Trager, curator of the Desert Garden and collections, for this Second Thursday Garden Talk about recent improvements to the Desert Garden and planned upgrades to the Desert Garden Conservatory.
The Huntington’s Desert Garden is one of the world’s premier collections of succulent plants, covering more than 10 acres and comprising more than 5,000 arid-adapted plants. The Desert Garden Entrance Project will make it possible to showcase more of this collection and spotlight the significance of these plants. The project’s first phase is now complete, adding new and accessible walking paths that open an additional half-acre of garden space to the public. A sale in the Plant Sale Nursery follows the talk.
